2017 YEAR IN REVIEW (Part 2) is here!  Thanks to Kelly Reed Lucas, we now have more video memories of the second half of the 2017 season that starts with the DSO, goes on to the Dock Jumping Regionals at Imlay City, Charlie's trip to the Incredible Dog Challenge with Malice in October, Dock Jumping Nationals at Purina Farms and more!

2017 YEAR IN REVIEW (Part 1)

Happy New Year to my fellow CCDSA members! 2017 was quite the year and I can't wait to see what 2018 has to bring for all of us. Because we did so much this year, I had to break the Year in Review video into two parts! This is Part One and features our bite work at Club in the early winter, Mugger's Night in May, Premier in June, National Cherry Festival and Swamp Dogs Dock Jumping Regionals in July and Old Fashioned Days in Stanton in August.

Part Two is coming and starts with the DSO, goes on to the Dock Jumping Regionals at Imlay City, Charlie's trip to the Incredible Dog Challenge with Malice in October, Dock Jumping Nationals at Purina Farms and more!

Enjoy!

Several Capital City Dog Sport Association members met at o’dark-thirty this morning at the kennel (and saw a beautiful sunrise) to pack equipment into the trailer before departing in a caravan line to travel to UKC Gateway Nationals and the Ultimate Air Dogs NATIONAL dock jumping CHAMPIONSHIPS. This sleep deprived and coffee craving crew will arrive at Purina Farms in Missouri later this afternoon to then begin warming up for the divisional jumping, fetch-it and catch-it competitions at the Ultimate Air Games! Competition will start on Thursday and Friday in all categories, and the top 5 dogs from each division will pass to the FINALS on Saturday and Sunday.
Best of luck to you all… and please keep us posted with pictures!!

This trial was unique as it offered competition in 3 different elements (containers, interiors and exteriors) and each Judge had over 80 competitors!  Our CCDSA club members entered 17 dogs and earned 36 new titles and although I am unaware of the Saturday placements, our club members garnered 18 placements on Sunday (5 first place, 6 second place, 4 third place, 3 forth place).  It was a long two days for the dogs, but they gave it their all and did remarkably well considering the heat.  Congratulations to everyone!
